Club Membership Application

Existing Club Members

If you are an existing club Member, please sign in before renewing your membership as there may be different membership rates/types for new vs. renewing members. If you forgot your username or password, click here.

In order to join the Tucson Radio Control Club an applicant must be a member in good standing with the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) and show a current AMA membership card. At the end of this section is an application to both the Tucson Radio Control Club and also the Academy of Model Aeronautics.

An applicant must have demonstrated an active interest in the sport of R/C, and a willingness to participate in TRCC sponsored activities. No application will be considered until the applicant has attended at least one TRCC meeting. Applications are considered on a “first come, first served basis”. Upon approval of a 2/3 vote of a quorum of members present at the meeting, the applicant will be awarded a membership for a one (1) year probationary period.
Membership types are: Full time, Part Time and Junior

Meetings are on the 3rd Sunday of every month at the flying field at 10801 E. Valencia RD. Tucson, AZ. 85747
Meetings during the winter months start at 10am and meetings during the summer months start at 9am.

Club Membership Period

Adult membership is $120.00/yr. (19 years and older)
New members pay a one time initiation fee of $150.00.

 

Junior membership is $40.00/year.  (18 years old and younger.)
New Junior members do not have to pay an initiation fee.
Junior members do not have to pay the initiation fee when they turn 19.

If you join or renew membership in the middle of a calendar year, membership fees are pro-rated.
The one time initiation fee is NOT pro-rated.

Example for renewing your membership in March: 
You have not flown and you renew your membership in March. Dues for the year will be $100 ($10/mo X 10).
There is a grace period to January 31st. After that,  you are not permitted to fly at the field until you renew your membership.

Example for pro-rated new member joining in May: 
The new membership fee is $70 ($10/mo X 7) + the $150 initiation fee for a total of $220.


The system will verify your AMA membership so be sure your AMA is up to date before joining or renewing your TRCC membership.

Fixed Date Membership Period

Fixed date memberships expire at the end of the membership period regardless of when you apply.
